I recently discovered this band called Owl City which I'm finding is excellent art inspiration. This song in particular.
I churned out a bunch of sketches last night thanks to that.
The sketch below on the right of the fishing fox is for a piece I have been trying (and failing) to do for about 3 years. When I heard the song 'Fireflies' all the ideas I had for this piece came flooding back and I finally did a sketch for it that I was happy with. Starting the color work today.

And for good measure, because you can never have too many puppies.

I would argue these are some of the best Sambus you've drawn- something about you capturing the full, abstract shapes of Sambu's fluff that I didn't used to see in your cartoon drawing of him. LOVE.
