I recently discovered this band called Owl City which I'm finding is excellent art inspiration. This song in particular.
I churned out a bunch of sketches last night thanks to that.

The sketch below on the right of the fishing fox is for a piece I have been trying (and failing) to do for about 3 years. When I heard the song 'Fireflies' all the ideas I had for this piece came flooding back and I finally did a sketch for it that I was happy with. Starting the color work today.

And for good measure, because you can never have too many puppies.

I got the new Coldplay CD recently and as a result I have finally started drawing a lot more again. Clearly new/good music is required for me to be inspired.

Finally some more art!

Between finishing everything for school, a few time-consuming freelance jobs, and my recent surgery, I've been kind of burnt out on art for a while, thus the lack of uploads since graduation.

But last night I finally felt inspired to draw again! So, have some doodles. I think I'm going to do more with the hyena and the fennec because I'm happy with how they turned out.

I think I'm going to try using this blog as an excuse to do more random sketches. I don't sketch for fun nearly enough during school and that needs to change!

I need to use this thing more..

I'm never entirely sure what to post in here, since I put most of the sketches I actually like up at my galleries. What sort of stuff should I post here? I feel bad about being so redundant for people who watch my galleries and this.

Anyway, here's some stuff I've done this summer:
